Botanical Name Calendula Officinalis. Origin France The Calendula or Marigold plant is so widely grown that its precise origin is hard to pinpoint. It is also considered edible and the flower can be used in recipes and salads to add colour. Oil is made by infusing marigold flowers in a carrier oil. Calendula oil itself is quite versatile. It is said to help with skin complaints with its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It is widely used in the cosmetics industry on its own or to make ointments, creams, or salves. Colour, texture, and shelf life has yellow to amber colour with mild spicy sweet aroma, light texture, and a shelf life of 1 year. Base oils are ideal for diluting essential oils before using them on the skin. Calendula oil infused into Sunflower oil 'Calendula Officinalis Flower Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil'. All our base oils are 100 natural pure oil. We carry a wide variety of cold-pressed, fractionated, and solvent extraction base oils, also known as 'carrier' oils.
